Instructions
Day 1
TC1 & TC2
The first activity of the week takes place outdoors and in teams. It will be a treasure hunt through the centre of Vannes, passing through various checkpoints.
The activity will take place in two stages:
- 2pm for the Wonka and Violet teams, meeting at the Parc de la Garenne
- 3.45pm for the Veruca and Charlie teams, meeting at the port
Instructions for the activity will be given to you at the meeting point before departure.
Day 2
TC2
You are about to watch the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) directed by Tim Burton.
You will have to pay close attention. Indeed, after the film you will have a Kahoot quiz (don't forget to charge your phones) on passages from the film. The quiz consists of 20 questions on generalities as well as on details of the film.
Day 3
TC1
You will have to perform a Powerpoint activity.The objectuve is to create a roleplay in which your powerpoint supports your speech and help to creathe an atmosphere. The context is the visit of a new company, a sweetshop, by a group. The sweetshop should be a partner OR a competitor of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.
TC2
You will have to make a poster presenting an event in the chocolate factory. You must insert a banner at the bottom of the poster by adding the IUT logo at the bottom left and "English Week 2022".
Your poster must be in A3 size.
The poster must be returned to us on Wednesday between 5:30 and 6:00 pm on a USB key.
Please name your file : Group_subgroup
For example : TeamWonka_Lolipop.
Day 4
TC1
In the morning, you will play 2 truths 1 lie. A quick reminder of the rules, it's very simple: in groups you will have to choose 2 truths and 1 lie, you will then come in front of the class to tell us your stories. Afterwards, the students will vote by team to know which one is the wrong one.
In the afternoon, you will perform your plays that you have worked on before in front of the second year.
TC2
You must reproduce a scene from the film. To do this video, you must dress up and use humor. You have to be imaginative and original ! For the video you are not required to say the text word for word. You can do several small scenes, you just have to last about 5 min. You can wear disguises and use humor. You have to be be imaginative and original.
Your video must be about 5 minutes long and must be returned to us on Thursday between 6:00 and 6:30 pm on a USB key. Please name your file group_subgroup.
For exemple : TeamWonka_Lolipop
You will have to give us your video in 720p quality.
Day 5
We will introduce you to the Erasmus program. The students who went abroad this year will present their stay abroad. Don't hesitate to prepare and ask your questions!
Instagram games
Day 1
Many pieces of the famous golden ticket are hidden in the IUT, it's up to you to find them and bring them back to us. You will be able to see some clues in the Instagram story. Just to clarify, they are not in the false ceilings: the students looked there a few years ago...
Day 2
On this second day, your cooking skills will be put to the test ! You will have to prepare a chocolate-based dessert, be original. You have to send us a short video or a picture.
Day 3
See the choreography of the Oompa Loompas ? You know, the little chocolate factory workers in red latex who dance in harmony. We want to see you to do the same : take over their choreography. We can't wait to see it...
